Stephen Pisko was a gifted Canadian Artist of a variety of approaches that spanned the range of performing, visual, writing, philosophical and metaphysical arts.
He upheld these unique expressions within his “Metaphysical Photographic Life” mission statement of how “the unseen influences the seen” and how “the non-physical directs the physical.” Stephen held a masters degree within the metaphysical arts and held a very strong background inpsycology, philosophy, Eastern-principles, Buddhism, fine-art, entertainment-film, motion-picture creation, photography, commercial-advertising, creative writing, and photographic mixed media.
In the beginning of his artistic career, from 1977-1982, Stephen held the esteemed title at the Cross Roads Motor Hotel of being “Canada’s Top Night Club D.J.”. He was voted this title by over 100 hotels and nightclubs across Canada. The Cross Roads had the largest disco-light show in Canada at that time, and was featured in many Canadian magazines.
Steve also had a strong passion for performing, and from 1978 onwards, he created authentic presentations as an Elvis impersonator. His expression of the “Elvis phenomenon” included a complex visual and sound experience.
Stephens passion and goal was to influence and change peoples’ live towards the positive. This was his main focus throughout his “metaphysical photographic imagery sessions.” He compiled his photography for over the span of 40 years. As a visual artist, his themes included fine art, abstract art, metaphysical expression, film based areas and photographic mixed media. He was in the constant quest of breaking new visual ground within the photographic realm and he boldly explored mixed media with no creative bounds or barriers.
